ارس: One-time Password Generator App for Bank Cards
ارس is a free utility and tool app developed by Kavoshgaran Hamrah Kish for Android users. With the increasing number of cybercrimes related to bank card information, experts have warned users to be cautious with their bank cards and passwords. ارس has taken a significant step towards the security of bank card passwords by generating one-time passwords. The app produces two one-time passwords, which are valid for only 30 or 60 seconds, depending on the user's choice. After the expiration, the password becomes invalid, and a new one is generated.
The app supports several banks, including Eghtesad Novin, Ansar, Hekmat Iranian, Day, Sina, and Mehr Iran Qarz al-Hasaneh, and more banks will be added soon. The app generates one-time passwords offline, and users do not need internet access when producing them. Other features include copying generated passwords, automatic locking of the app after a specific time, and two-step authentication. However, if the user enters the wrong password or pattern five consecutive times, the app will stop working.
